Enjoy a tranquil retreat in the fabulous Chocó cloud forest region, in a quiet cottage and private acreage nestled among acres of coffee, bananas and native tropical trees and flowers.  The open design and many windows provide fantastic views of surrounding trees & nature from all rooms.  The upstairs ´hammock´ room has a view of the river  and nearby cloud forest hills,  and provides an excellent point from which to watch flocks of colorful tropical tanagers, or groups of noisy parrots or toucans flying overhead.  

 

Surrounding the house are acres of bananas, papayas, coffee, avocado, citrus as well as many natural trees and orchids, bromeliads and other flowers.  A short walk outside your door you can pick fresh oranges, lemons or other tasty tropical fruits.  Staying here is like having your own corner of paradise!

 

The cottage has two bedrooms and can accommodate families or small groups of 2 to 6, with either short or long-term rentals available.  It has a full kitchen suitable for self-catering, or meal and/or cleaning and laundry service can be arranged for an additional fee.   Only two hours by car or two and a half by bus from Quito, it has easy access for all ages and is within walking/hiking distance to local villages and nature reserves.
